The Story

Misfortune tells the tale of Clementine, a seasoned psychic, who because of her love and deep connection with the mystic, has a strained relationship with her daughter, Laura. Upon meeting Laura's new partner, Clementine is struck with a violent and unsettling vision, which leads to an uncomfortable family dinner. Misfortune is a black comedy about the difficult relationship between psychic mothers, sceptic daughters, potential murderers and the mystic unknown.

Misfortune has been in development from close to 3 years, and holds a special place in the heart of many crew involved in the project.

However, filmmaking ain't cheap - and the movie magic we see on the screens before us requires a perfect combination of story, dedication... and funding.

Every crew member involved with this project are current QUT students, and while we dedicate as much money and time as we can, it's an invaluable help to us to receive support from the wider community.
